We had three Postmodern Jukebox debuts on our latest album, “Squad Goals,” and all of them were by absolutely phenomenal vocalists. Melinda Doolittle gave a flawless vocal in our sultry remake of “Toxic.” The Voice of Holland star Jennie Lena hit all the high notes on a classic blues take on “You Give Love A Bad Name.” Now, meet vocal powerhouse, Dani Armstrong, on our ’50s Rock ‘n Roll cover of The Police’s Roxanne.

Although most of our vocalists made their PMJ debuts on video before touring with us, I was so amazed at Dani’s talents as a live performer that I immediately sent her to perform at our shows in Wisconsin and Maine; predictably, she brought the house down.

Dani with the PMJ cast in Wisconsin.
In our 50s Rock ‘n Roll cover of The Police’s Roxanne, Dani’s voice covers an impressive several octaves of range at full power…and, just to show that she still had even more powerful high notes left, I threw in a whole step key change for good measure. To put the final touches on the arrangement, Kenton Chen and Matt Bloyd (from our recent “MMMBop” cover) joined us to add some pitch perfect harmonies.
