Maiya Sykes is a Los Angeles native but spent her childhood summers in Birmingham, Alabama. That southern soul shines through in her powerhouse performance of this Fleetwood Mac classic, which unfurls at the pace of a riverboat cruise down the Mississippi River. Of course, Scott Bradlee is well known as an artist that never stops thinking about yesterday, but the song’s optimistic outlook is a perfect fit for PMJ. Just think what tomorrow will do – as Maiya belts that suggestion out, it’s impossible not to believe it will be much, much better than before.
