No Doubt’s “Spiderwebs” as 1940s Jazz, Featuring Belle Jewel

After the last season of The Voice ended, we received lots and lots of fan requests to feature Belle Jewel – an amazing young singer with retro sensibilities – in a Postmodern Jukebox video.  Now, we’re excited to present her PMJ debut: an uptempo ’40s jazz remake of “Spiderwebs,” one of No Doubt / Gwen Stefani’s first hits.  Watch:

Despite only being 19 years old, Belle has already developed a distinctive style all her own that is both classic and contemporary.  Our uptempo rendition of this 1995 hit draws stylistic influence from records by great jazz vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Dinah Washington.  We’re excited to welcome Belle to the PMJ family!
