The aspiring song pluggers who made the rounds of New York’s fabled
Tin Pan Alley were determined to keep pounding the pavement, hoping
for a hit – so it makes perfect sense to harken back to the 1920s for
PMJ’s version of Adele’s Chasing Pavements, an ode to following your dreams. Hannah Gill
turns on the charm in our latest video, so chase it here:

Adele’s first big U.S. hit was inspired by a punch in the face –
namely, one that the British singer landed to her ex-boyfriend’s face
at their local pub. It’s hard to imagine the winsome Hannah Gill
throwing fists like that – especially decked out as elegantly as she
is here. But the gifted singer-songwriter has that pluck and
versatility possessed by those singers of yesteryear, whether leaning
against an upright piano or kicking up their heels in an Art Deco
nightclub. Hannah started her own band, The Hours, when she was just
18, but she shares a special, playful chemistry with the PMJ guys as
well, as you’ll plainly see. It would be a waste to miss this one!
