Kyle Darbonne is the Prevention Coordinator for South Peninsula Haven House in Homer. His\u00a0passion is working with kids and\u00a0families to build skills that increase\u00a0resilience and set the path for a\u00a0successful future. In current and previous roles, Kyle has\u00a0engaged with diverse groups\u00a0of children and families to implement\u00a0trauma-informed education and\u00a0strength-based supports. He is an active member of the Southern Kenai Peninsula Resilience Coalition and Homer\u2019s 100 Men Who Care.<\/p>\n
Kyle and his wife, Mary, are excited to welcome their first son in March of 2022.<\/p>\n
Before moving to Alaska, Kyle worked as a science teacher and later as Dean of Students at an alternative public middle and high school in Littleton, CO.<\/p>\n
Kyle received his B.S. in Biology with a Psychology minor and a Master\u2019s in Teaching from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA.
