{"id":404,"date":"2023-05-31T23:30:59","date_gmt":"2023-05-31T23:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/m-condit.info\/aia\/?post_type=members&#038;p=404"},"modified":"2023-06-01T00:23:19","modified_gmt":"2023-06-01T00:23:19","slug":"anita-alves","status":"publish","type":"members","link":"https:\/\/m-condit.info\/aia\/members\/anita-alves\/","title":{"rendered":"Anita Alves"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wgl_col-12\">\n<div class=\"team-single_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"team-info_wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wgl_col-12\">\n<p>Anita Alves has lived in Alaska since 1986.\u00a0 She graduated from college and law school in California.\u00a0 Anita received a\u00a0teaching credential from Sacramento State University and taught in a variety of settings, including a migrant preschool in the Salinas Valley, at an elementary school in a combined 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0through 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0grade classroom, and at a community college infant\/toddler lab school as an Early Childhood instructor.\u00a0 She graduated from law school in 1985 with the expressed goal of advocating for children and youth caught up in the legal system.<\/p>\n<p>In 1986 Anita arrived in Alaska to clerk for Judge Russel Holland in Federal District Court. Once her clerkship ended, she moved on to private practice doing corporate and municipality law while volunteering as a Court Appointed Special advocate in the\u00a0Anchorage CASA program.\u00a0 Anita was hired in November 1990 as an attorney\/GAL at the Office of Public Advocacy.\u00a0\u00a0 Over the years, she has had the privilege of advocating for many children and youth.<\/p>\n<p>Anita has been the supervisor of the Anchorage Child Advocacy section for approximately 15 years.\u00a0 During this time, she has been fortunate to be involved in statewide child welfare issues as a member of statewide committees and other groups impacting child welfare in Alaska.<\/p>\n<p>Anita is married and the mother of three \u201cbonus\u201d sons as well as our youngest son, currently in college.\u00a0 She has one adorable grandson.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":293,"template":"","categories":[9],"class_list":["post-404","members","type-members","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-board-member"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/m-condit.info\/aia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/members\/404","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/m-condit.info\/aia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/members"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/m-condit.info\/aia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/members"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/m-condit.info\/aia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/293"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/m-condit.info\/aia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=404"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/m-condit.info\/aia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=404"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
